I saw this kid Alex Honnold on 60 minutes tonight, who is a 26 year old free climber. This means he climbs rock faces without any ropes. I was amazed by his ability, but more than that by his focus, serenity and humility. At such a young age he has found what he loves and stops at nothing to get it. He lives out of a van, and survives on less than $1000 a month. It made me think about my own life and the fear that holds me back from achieving all the great things I have envisioned for myself. As I always say it is a journey, and getting present to the process and allowing our beliefs in our own abilities to take center stage is key to pushing fear aside. I was truly inspired by this guys abilities and maturity and will use this to help me continue climbing my incredible mountains.
