“The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” - Michelangelo
We often talk about the idea of flying high in our lives - metaphorically speaking. For me it is a highly motivating practice to lighten the emotional load and soar to heights that previously seemed impossible. It is always a lot easier to look down and understand the reasons why other people are not getting off the ground or to the levels that they desire. However when you are on the ground it is harder to understand what you are not doing or more importantly doing that is keeping you from launching into the air. I believe it is the limiting beliefs we have in ourselves that keeps us grounded, or stuck in the same place. The way up is to firstly discover what those limiting beliefs are, and then decide that you really want to give them up and replace them with more powerful beliefs. It sounds simple, however from personal experience discovering the limiting beliefs takes some time, patience, and commitment. I can say with confidence that it is all worth the work, because when you start to fly, it is the most extraordinary feeling.
